and our exquisite orchid collection. Many of our visitors also enjoy sitting and relaxing in the shade of one of the garden rest areas.
There are always a wide variety of blooming orchids throughout the year, ranging from the colourful and impressive Cattleya,
Dendrobium, Oncidium and Vandaceous hybrids, to the fascinating Bulbophyllum species. The large collection of species from a wide
variety of genera includes Coelogyne, Dendrobium, Eria, Phragmipedium, Rhynchostylus, Phalaenopsis and many more. Some of the
species are so minute they need a magnifier to appreciate. An Indonesian species collection is currently being assembled. This is an
orchid fancier's delight.
Paved walkways pass among gardens displaying colourful bromeliads, heliconias and a large variety of foliage plants while the
shade-house is home a variety of orchids, anthuriums, pitcher plants (Nepenthe), hoyas, the 'bat flower' and many other colourful
plants. Be sure to find the Encyclia radiata with its upside down flower and vanilla-like perfume and the 'Black Orchid' Coelogyne
pandurata both of which flower frequently.
Enjoy refreshments in the restaurant where you can taste one of a variety of Indonesian coffees or try our special Coffee, Kopi Luwak,
then spend time selecting that special memento from our wide variety of souvenirs.
Flowers from the gardens can be purchased for your hotel room or you can purchase a flower box of tropical flowers and orchids
specially arranged for you to take home.
